In a groundbreaking achievement, Keisha Schahaff and her daughter Ana Mayers have become the first-ever mother-daughter duo to travel to the edge of space. The duo embarked on their journey on a Virgin Galactic rocket plane, reaching an altitude of approximately 85km (52 miles) and experiencing the incredible sight of Earth's curvature. Keisha, hailing from Antigua, won the opportunity to travel to the UK, where her daughter is currently studying.

Accompanying them on this historic voyage was Jon Goodwin, an 80-year-old former British Olympic canoeist who purchased his ticket for space back in 2005. Goodwin, who has Parkinson's disease, became the first fee-paying customer of Virgin Galactic. The trio had the privilege of witnessing the beauty of our planet from space, including the vastness of the black expanse beyond.
