Rohit Gandhi
Rohit Gandhi is an international award-winning journalist and documentary filmmaker who has been in the news space for nearly 27 years and has worked for most of his career with news networks like CNN International and the Canadian Broadcasting corporation. He has been posted to countries like China, Russia, Afghanistan, Iraq and has covered conflict and disasters most of his career. His company RIG Media is his production arm and recently produced the piece on Netflix in partnership with the 13 other directors called “Pandemic”.
Jessica Taneja
Jessica Taneja is an experienced journalist who has been stationed in New Delhi for the last 4 years. She studied broadcast journalism and communications from the University of Westminster in London. She has extensively covered issues related to policy and law along with other varied issues from the subcontinent. Apart from work, you’d find her watching lawn tennis or sweating it out in the gym.
Krishangi Sinha
Krishangi Sinha is a journalism graduate. Born in a traditional agrarian and politically volatile state of Bihar and brought up in Delhi, she has witnessed the integral role media played in shaping and reshaping our ideas of democracy and development in a rural and urban India. She understands the important role media plays in the making of the society and what people think.
Her interests in writing developed as a teenager. The stories she writes about are issues that may be difficult to brace and people may lack the guts to embrace. Her journalistic style is courteous but firm.
Shivani Singh
Shivani Singh is a literature graduate. She also holds a degree in Radio and Television Journalism. Born and brought up in a small town of Jharkhand, she is well versed with problems of both urban and rural India. Talking about the lesser-known issues and bringing them to light is what she aims at. Communication, Editing, research, writing and photography are the few things she enjoys. Journalism is her passion. It is a platform for social change and she is all set to make the best of it.
Riddhima Kedia
Riddhima Kedia is an aspiring Journalist. She is persuing bachelor’s in journalism and Mass Communication from Noida. She is a news junkie, born and bought up in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. Communication, Writing, debating, photography, and singing is her thing. She understands the importance of media in today’s uncertain world. She firmly believes that tough questions are never disrespectful.
Apart from this, she is a fervent singer and a national level soccer player.
Richa Sorot Dalal
Richa Sorot Dalal is an Engineer and has worked as an Assistant Professor in a university for 3 years. Reading, writing and speaking (speeches, debates) have always been her favourites. A university Gold Medalist in academics, she quit it all to jump into the field of journalism to pursue a passion seeded inside her since early childhood.
She wants to work on the issues in society which are often ignored and untouched. Other than this, she also aims to bring in a reformed way of presenting news to the audience.
Lakshey Sharma
Lakshey Sharma is a BCom graduate from Delhi University. He is also a VFX artist he completed his VFX training from Arena Animation. Born and brought up in Delhi. He loves technology, technical things and never stop learning more and more.He has been working with Democracy News Live as a video editor, live show editor, sound recordist and last but not the least cinematographer from the last 3.5 years. Apart from this he loves to ride and explore new places on his bike.
Rupa Khangwal
Rupa Khangwal is a BA graduate from Delhi University. She pursued VFX from Arena institute and always enthusiastic to learn new things. She has been working with Democracy News Live for 3.5 years and holds the position of video editor. Despite this she is also well versed in technical shoots, live shoots and audio effects.
