Schools close down after terror attack at Sunjwan army camp

All the schools, both public and private have been closed down, near the Sunjwan army camp in Jammu, after a terrorist attack by Jaish-e-Mohammad terror group.
Defence sources informed that army has cordoned the area where 3-4 terrorists have been hiding since 5 a.m. after the attack. They also added that the terrorists came in contact with the sentry on duty at a middle gate, near Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust building and sneaked inside while opening heavy firing.
A Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO), his daughter and three soldiers have been injured in the attack.
The JCO later succumbed to the injuries, while his injured daughter is in serious condition.
Sources also added that all the residential blocks have been closed and the families of army personnel have been advised to remain inside, till the operation is called off.
Following terror attack at Sunjwan army camp in the east of Jammu City, administration has ordered closure of all the schools, both private and public, which fall in the radius of 500 meter from the spot.
Meanwhile, IGP Jammu zone, SD Singh Jamwal, who visited the spot said, "High alert has been announced in Jammu City and police is on alert and strict security arrangements have been made in the areas close to Sunjwan".
