After foiling BAT operation at Poonch, Indian army destroys Pak bunker at LoC

After unsuccessful BAT operation at Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch, Pakistan violates ceasefire again, at Uri in North Kashmir.

Indian army strongly retaliated Pakistan's firing, on Monday, and destroyed a bunker of the enemy, just a day after successfully foiling the Border Action Team (BAT) operation at LoC
The Defence Sources informed that there might be casualties on Pakistan side during the retaliation.
Earlier, Pakistan army had violated ceasefire at LoC and opened fire on Indian village Churanda, of Uri in Baramulla of North Kashmir. Heavy firing continued from both sides.
There are also reports that three civilians have sustained injuries due to this unprovoked firing from Pakistani Army.
Meanwhile, the PRO Defence, Lt Col Devender Anand said that Sunday evening at about 5:15 pm Pakistan Army initiated unprovoked firing and engaged Indian troops, deployed in forward posts on the LoC. As Indian troops noticed movement and engaged the group in effective firing, there was immediate retaliation from the armed intruders.
"In this ensuing firefight, one armed intruder was killed and at least two others sustained grievous injuries and were seen returning back towards Pakistani post. The subsequent search and sanitisation operation carried out, resulted in recovery of one body in combat fatigues, and huge quantity of arms and ammunition proved that it was a BAT operation, which was successfully and timely foiled", said Lt Col Anand.
Col Anand added that three live RPG Grenades, four disposable Rocket Launchers, two IKOM radio set, one AK Magazine, two Molotov cocktails, four UBGL grenades, seven hand grenades, PIKA belt fired, one mobile phone, three back packs, a medical satchel and Pak National flag, has been recovered.
The modus operandi adopted by Pakistan army and their sponsored terrorists, in this instance, was similar to the previous attempts made in the recent past, in incidents like one at Keri, Gambir and Sunjawan.
Pakistan has repeatedly failed to respect and fulfill its CFV agreement and Jan 2004 commitment for 'Not allowing its soil or territory under its control to be used for terrorism against India'.
The 'White Knight Corps' is keeping a strict and constant vigil across the LOC and all the security forces are prepared to thwart any nefarious activities designed by Pakistan's sponsored terrorists.
