Zomato sells its UAE business to Delivery Hero for $172 M, also raises $105 M

Zomato is selling its UAE business to Berlin-based Delivery Hero through the foodtech investor's fully owned subsidiary, Talabat Middle East Internet Services Company, for $172 million.
- InfoEdge also disclosed that Zomato had also concluded its ongoing funding round and had raised $105 million in an additional tranche.
- The report also confirmed that the total amount of funding raised by Zomato was $315 million.
- This fund raise is reported to be a part of a larger $1 billion round Zomato is raising from existing investor Ant Financials and new investors.
