Facebook is working hard to launch its own bitcoin for cryptocurrency-based payments on its platform that has 2.38 billion users.
- In a February interview with Harvard Law Professor Jonathan Zittrain, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said he was "potentially interested" in putting the Facebook login on the Blockchain technology.
- It has set up a group within the company to explore Blockchain technology and its potential use for the platform, headed by Messenger chief David Marcus.
- Facebook Dating app would now help users explore potential romantic relationships within their own extended circle of friends.
- On Facebook Dating, you can opt in to discover potential matches within your own Facebook communities: events, groups, friends of friends and more.
- The main app "Houseparty" is a synchronous Group video chat in which participants would open it up to see who else was already online and hang out with them online.
