- Startupbootcamp launched its second startup program in Hartford Monday, an accelerator designed to attract medical and health care technology companies to the city.
- The MedTech Accelerator, to be located at Trinity College's downtown campus at Constitution Plaza, is a partnership between Trinity, Hartford HealthCare, UConn's School of Business and CTNext, the state's startup support organization.
- The new initiative joins the Hartford InsurTech Accelerator, which Startupbootcamp launched last year to re-invigorate the city's long-waning insurance industry.
- Trinity College and Hartford HealthCare have been planning this latest piece for more than two years, since the Hartford-East Hartford region was named one of the state's four innovation places, along with New Haven, New London-Groton and Stamford.
