Defence-Tech Startup Big Bang Boom Gets ₹ 1.5 Crore Grant from Defence Ministry

Chennai-based Big Bang Boom Solutions (BBBS), a defence tech startup, has bagged a Rs 1.5 crore grant for winning the 'See Through Armor' challenge by the Ministry of Defence under iDEX (Innovations for Defence Excellence). As a winner, the startup gets a chance to co-develop the solution along with the Indian Army,

- As a winner, the startup gets a chance to co-develop the solution along with the Indian Army, and a grant of Rs 1.5 crore.
- Founded in may 2018, by SRM University alumni Praveen Dwarakanath and Shivaraman Ramaswamy, BBBS have come up with a way to use augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) technologies to provide enhanced visual and artificial Inttelligence (AI) based intelligence cues to tank crews.
- Detailing out its entry at iDEX, Praveen, CEO & Co-founder of BBBS, said in a media release that the chosen solution can offer situational awareness to a soldier sitting in an armoured tank.
