- The first collector vessel for the 2x660 MW Maitree super thermal power project being executed by Bharat Heavy Electrical Limited (Bhel) in Bangladesh was flagged off from the company’s Trichy plant on Saturday by executive director R Rajamanohar.
- Collector vessel is a component in the startup circuit of a supercritical boiler where water will be collected till the steam it generate reaches supercritical stage.
- Bhel’s work in the project includes design, engineering, manufacture, supply, construction, erection, testing & commissioning of the thermal sets with ultra-supercritical parameters.
- The company’s power sector construction division will be responsible for construction and installation activities at the site.
