Young Girl killed during clashes in Kashmir

The girl got caught in clashes between the locals and the security forces.
A young kashmiri girl got killed during violent clashes with Security Forces at Shopian area of South Kashmir on Tuesday.
Violent protests were witnessed in South Kashmir's Shopian district after local people came out to protest, against the search operation in the area, following the killing of a local militant.
The official sources said that the protests were followed by stone pelting in the aftermath of an encounter, in which two militants including a local militant was killed by security forces.
Hundreds of protesters clashed with forces near the encounter site in Keller village of Shopian.
During the clashes a young girl identified as Beauty Jan (24 years) daughter of Abdul Rasheed was hit by a bullet and dozens others received injuries
Jan was immediately shifted to district hospital Pulwama were doctors declared her brought dead.
The Medical Superintendent of the hospital confirmed the death. Beauty Jan had received bullet in her left abdomen and succumbed on way to the hospital.
J&K Chief Minister reacts:
Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti has expressed grief over the death of a young girl during a search operation in the Batmurran village of Shopian district today. The Chief Minister said that it was very unfortunate that a web of violence has been cast in which the local and innocent civilians of the state have been caught. She said she has been reiterating that both civil society and the Government have to work together to end this cycle of violence in the state.
