In addition, smaller airports in Germany, such as in Munich and Saarbruecken, were forced to cease operations entirely due to dangerous weather conditions. Passengers faced immense stress and changes in plans, with many flights and train services being cancelled or delayed.

German rail operator Deutsche Bahn reduced the top speed of its high-speed ICE trains as a precautionary measure and cancelled long-distance services to Paris due to weather conditions in France. Norway also experienced disruptions in train services, with some areas in the east of the country being affected by the severe weather. The extreme risk of black ice and heavy snowfall in the affected regions is expected to persist through Thursday, leading to the continued closure of numerous schools in Germany's central and southern regions. This rare and dangerous weather event has left travelers stranded and scrambling to make alternate arrangements for their journeys.
