A newlywed couple and dozens of guests had a wedding celebration turn into a nightmare when the dance floor collapsed at the historic Giaccherino monastery in Pistoia, Italy. More than 30 people, including the bride and groom, fell 25 feet through the floor into a pool of debris and rubble. The groom described the terrifying experience, saying he felt like he was in another dimension and heard bodies falling around him.

Six guests suffered serious injuries, and ten others were moderately injured, all of whom received treatment at the hospital. The couple had to spend their wedding day in the hospital but were discharged the following day. The venue is now closed as the police investigate the cause of the collapse, and the couple has filed a complaint against the venue with local prosecutors.
