Ukraine has released postage stamps featuring US F-16 fighter jets in a bid to emphasize the urgent need for this type of aviation to protect the country from Russian attacks. The stamps, named "Exterminators of Evil," depict one of the Kremlin towers being destroyed by a kitchen grater with holes resembling fighter jets.

The design, created by Ukrainian illustrator Maksym Palenko, attracted hundreds of people who queued up at Kyiv's main post office to purchase the stamps and matching envelopes. While collectors praised the design, many expressed their desire for Ukraine to have the actual planes instead of just stamps.

One military veteran joked that it would be better if the F-16 planes flew over the country. Ukrainians have high hopes for the arrival of the F-16s, as President Joe Biden recently approved the training of Ukrainian pilots on these advanced fighter jets.

The Ukrainian post office believes that obtaining these aircraft is a top priority task for the country, as they have the potential to change the balance of power in favor of Ukraine.

The release of these stamps follows previous popular stamp designs by Ukraine's post office, including ones featuring soldiers at the front, a painting by British street artist Banksy, and a soldier making an obscene gesture towards a Russian warship. The proceeds from the sale of the F-16 stamps will go towards purchasing drones for the armed forces.

Ukraine's urgent need for military support against potential Russian aggression has led to creative ways of raising awareness and funds. The release of these stamps not only appeals to collectors but also highlights the country's determination to protect itself with the help of its Western allies.
