Trump Fights Back: Alleges Bias, Calls for Venue Change in Election Fraud Case
x

Former US President Donald Trump has raised concerns over receiving a fair trial in the alleged election fraud case, calling for a change of venue and judge. Trump accused the judge assigned to the case, US District Judge Tanya Chutkan, of bias and stated that he plans to seek her recusal.

Trump's lawyer, John Lauro, defended the former president's actions after the 2020 election loss, stating that they were aspirational asks rather than directives. Lauro criticized the proposed protective order, arguing that it would limit the public's access to relevant information.

Meanwhile, Trump's plea of not guilty to federal charges related to the election has been followed by separate indictments in New York and Florida. The former president faces the possibility of a fourth indictment in Georgia.
