In a significant Cabinet shake-up, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has removed seven ministers and reshuffled several portfolios, aiming to rejuvenate his government and address the party's declining popularity.

Among the major changes, Minister of National Defence Anita Anand has been appointed as the new Treasury Board chairperson, while Kamal Khera and Harjit Sajjan, both Indo-Canadians, have been transferred to new posts.Arif Virani, another Indo-Canadian, has made his Cabinet debut as the Minister of Justice and Attorney General.

The reshuffle reflects the Liberals' desire to try something new and demonstrate their focus on the priorities of ordinary Canadians. Trudeau stated that the new Ministry is ready to deliver on making life more affordable for the middle class, growing the economy, and building a strong future for the country.

However, challenges such as high inflation and soaring housing costs continue to plague the government, and it remains to be seen if the reshuffle will boost the party's electoral prospects.
