In a recent incident, terrorists targeted vehicles of a private company involved in a development project in the Darazinda area of Dera Ismail (DI) Khan, resulting in the tragic deaths of two civilian employees and one Pakistani Army soldier. The victims were identified as Muhammad Faisal and Asif Kamran, both from District Karak, who were civilian employees of the private company, and Sepoy Syed Muhammad Shaheen Shah, responsible for the security of the project. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), an ongoing sanitization operation is being carried out in the area to eliminate the presence of terrorists.

The security forces are determined to eradicate the menace of terrorism and continue supporting the economic progress of the region. In a separate intelligence-based operation (IBO) conducted by security forces in the Bara area of Khyber District, a terrorist named Qudrat Shah, also known as Abubakar, was killed. The operation also resulted in the recovery of weapons and ammunition. The TTP has been particularly active since the breakdown of talks with the banned militant group in November last year. They have intensified their attacks, targeting the KP police and areas bordering Afghanistan.

Furthermore, insurgents in Balochistan have increased their violent activities and formed an alliance with the TTP. In response to the increasing terrorist activities, the Pakistani troops have intensified their operations against terrorists since the TTP announced the termination of a ceasefire with Pakistan. The security forces remain committed to combating terrorism and ensuring the safety and progress of the region.
