However, the Supreme Court refused to entertain the petition, providing Qureshi with a good lesson to broaden his perspective. Justice Khanna further emphasized, "Sorry, do not do this. This is a good lesson for you. Do not be so narrow-minded." The petitioner had challenged the Bombay High Court's judgment, which dismissed his previous petition.

The petitioner sought directions from the Information and Broadcasting Ministry, the Ministry of External Affairs, and the Ministry of Home Affairs to issue appropriate notifications imposing a ban and prohibiting the granting of visas to Pakistani artists.
