Super Typhoon Doksuri, one of the most powerful typhoons to hit China this storm season, is expected to make landfall on the Chinese mainland on Friday. With top wind speeds of 138 mph, Doksuri will bring fierce winds and heavy rain to densely populated cities in China.

The storm is expected to affect high-stalk crops such as corn and rice in rural areas. In preparation, China has ordered fishing boats to seek shelter and farmers to speed up their harvest. Taiwan has also suspended military drills and issued warnings for heavy rains and strong winds.

The Philippines has already raised storm warning levels and begun evacuating coastal communities. As Doksuri approaches, countries in East Asia are taking necessary precautions to minimize the impact of the powerful typhoon.
