Russian Shelling in Ukraine Leaves Multiple Dead and Injured in Mining Facilities and Civilian Areas
Russian shelling causes multiple casualties in Ukraine, with three killed and buildings damaged in attacks on mining facilities and civilian areas. Evidence contradicts Russia's denial of targeting civilians.
Russian shelling at mining facilities, as well as civilian areas, has resulted in multiple casualties in Ukraine. In Toretsk, three people were killed and several others injured in attacks on two mining facilities, leaving administrative buildings and equipment damaged. The first mine was cut off from electricity, but all 32 miners underground were safely rescued. Additionally, in the northeastern Sumy region, Russia shelled a border village, resulting in the death of three people, including a seven-year-old child.
Photos showed severe damage to buildings and evidence of civilian areas being targeted. The Ukrainian Prosecutor General's office condemned the attack, and amidst the ongoing conflict between the two nations, Russia has denied targeting civilians. However, the evidence of widespread attacks on residential areas highlights the ongoing danger and devastation for Ukrainian civilians in the conflict zone.
