On another front, it has been reported that Greece's Aegean Sea islands have witnessed an influx of migrants from Turkey. Greek authorities have confirmed that nearly 140 migrants, including 51 individuals who arrived on the luxurious resort island of Mykonos, have recently made landfall in Greece. Additionally, 30 migrants, including six children, were discovered on the coast of Evia. These migrants claim to have been transported by a speedboat that subsequently returned to Turkey. Greek authorities have been working diligently to combat human smuggling, but the shorter route from Turkey to the Aegean islands has challenged their efforts.
