Pakistan Army chief General Syed Asim Munir has emphasized that the use of force is solely within the purview of the State, and no group or entity has the authority to engage in coercive activities. Speaking to the leading Islamic Scholars (Ulema o Mashaikh) from all Islamic schools of thought at the GHQ in Rawalpindi, General Munir underlined the importance of fostering a society free from intolerance and extremist behavior, particularly directed towards minorities and vulnerable segments of society. In a resolute statement, General Munir asserted that Pakistan belongs to all Pakistanis, without any distinctions based on religion, province, tribe, language, ethnicity, or sect.

He explicitly stated that the use of force and armed action by any militia, entity, or group other than the State is unacceptable. The meeting with the Islamic scholars also expressed unanimous support for the government's initiatives, including the repatriation of illegal foreigners, the implementation of the 'One Document Regime' for foreign visitors, efforts to combat smuggling and hoarding, as well as the crackdown on power theft. Moreover, the gathering fully acknowledged Pakistan's position on terrorism emanating from Afghan soil.

It urged Afghanistan to address Pakistan's concerns regarding this issue, recognizing the need for serious actions to be taken in response. General Munir's statement and the unity among the Islamic scholars highlight the country's determination to create an inclusive society and uphold the authority of the State. This commitment to maintaining peace, promoting tolerance, and combating extremism not only showcases Pakistan's resolve but also sets a positive example for other nations to follow.
