x

Nepal has officially begun work on a multimillion-dollar project aimed at enhancing the country's road and power transmission capacity. The Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) pact, a five-year project, will focus on improving road and electricity connectivity. The formal countdown began after an agreement was reached between the Government of Nepal and the MCC, following significant progress in project preparation.

The project will include the construction of new roads and transmission lines, which are crucial for connecting communities and facilitating the transportation of goods to the market. The MCC has signed a USD 500 million compact with the Nepalese government, and the program is co-funded by the US government and the Government of Nepal. The MCC aims to promote economic growth, reduce poverty, and support sustainable development in Nepal. The project is expected to have a positive impact on Nepal's economy, stability, and regional security.
