A shocking incident unfolded on Tuesday, July 25, on the San Francisco–Oakland Bay Bridge in California. A naked woman, whose motive remains unknown, stepped out of her car and began firing a gun at passing vehicles during rush hour.

The California Highway Patrol responded to a 911 call from a driver who reported the woman brandishing a weapon. The woman stopped in the middle of the lane, initially holding a knife and yelling before continuing to drive to Oakland. She then stopped at a toll plaza, got out of her car completely naked, and started shooting at cars.

Thankfully, no injuries were reported. Video footage captured her walking along the road and firing into the air. The officers arrived at the scene and safely de-escalated the situation, making her drop her weapon and taking her into custody.

The woman was subsequently taken to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation and remains on a 72-hour hold. Charges are expected to be filed following her release.

This incident caused significant traffic delays in the area. The California Highway Patrol reminded the public to avoid engaging with individuals involved in road rage incidents and instead remove themselves from the situation and contact the authorities.
