Britain's King Charles III will be taking a break from his royal duties for about a month as he recovers from a medical procedure for an enlarged prostate, according to media reports. The 75-year-old King was admitted to The London Clinic on Friday morning and underwent treatment, with Queen Camilla visiting him on Sunday and confirming that he is "doing well." The exact nature of his treatment has not been disclosed. During his hospitalization, the King will still be available for state matters and can attend to government papers. His doctors advised him to rest, leading to the cancellation of his engagements prior to the surgery.

He will be ready to resume his duties once discharged from the hospital. In a similar turn of events, Princess Catherine is also recovering at the same central London hospital after her abdominal surgery last week, with the King visiting her as well. UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has extended his well wishes to King Charles III for a successful treatment and a speedy recovery. The King's diagnosis of the condition was made during a check-up in Aberdeenshire, and he decided to share the news to raise awareness about the importance of regular check-ups for men.
