Kevin Spacey has been defending himself in court for the past two weeks for 12 charges of sexual assault, indecent assault, and causing a person to engage in penetrative sexual activity without consent.

The charges involve four men and are alleged to have occurred between 2001 and 2013. At his trial, Spacey testified that he had “a big flirt” but was “crushed” when a man accused him of sexual assault. He denied the man’s account of them nearly running off the road due to violent groping.

He also said he respected that the man did not want to take their relationship further and denied allegations from another man who said he was grabbed by Spacey at a charity event. A third man testified that he woke up to find Spacey performing oral sex on him.

Spacey said the evening was “consensual” and he later contacted the man to check on him because he was concerned. The prosecutor, Christine Agnew, called Spacey “a sexual bully” who enjoys making people feel powerless.

If found guilty, Spacey faces a possible prison sentence. The two-time Oscar winner has been a lifetime achievement award recipient in Italy this year. The trial is ongoing in the UK.
