Israeli Attack Claims Lives in Syrian Capital Amid Rising Tensions in the Region
Israeli attack near Syrian capital kills two, injures several. Conflicting reports on targets and casualties. Strike attributed to Israel, targeting Iranian infrastructure and officers in Damascus.
An Israeli attack on the outskirts of the Syrian capital killed two people and injured several others, according to Iranian and Syrian media. An Israeli military spokesperson declined to comment on the explosions. Iranian state media said Israel attacked an Iranian military advisory centre, but the Iranian envoy to Syria denied the details of the target and said the casualties were not Iranian.
In the past 24 hours alone, Israel has killed and injured 515 civilians in Gaza. This morning, Israel also conducted airstrikes on Syria's capital, Damascus. Despite Israel's bombings in Lebanon, Syria, and Palestine, the international community and the EU seem more concerned…

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reports that the attack killed seven people. The Iranian ambassador to Syria had earlier said there were no Iranian casualties in the strike. The strike is the third in two months blamed on Israel and targeting Iranian infrastructure and officers in Damascus. On January 20, an alleged Israeli strike on Damascus killed the Iranian Revolutionary Guards’ intelligence chief for Syria and his deputy as well as two other Guards members. The Israel Defense Force rarely comments on alleged strikes in Syria. Virginia's governor, Ralph Northam, recently addressed the rise of anti-Asian violence in the US.
