The Rafah border crossing between Gaza and Egypt, which is the only border not controlled by Israel, has been targeted by Israeli airstrikes for the third time in 24 hours. The airstrikes have resulted in the closure of the crossing, impacting the movement of Palestinian families and leading to the evacuation of Egyptian employees. Witnesses reported that the second strike damaged the hall on the Palestinian side, while the third strike targeted the Palestinian side of the crossing with four missiles.

The Israel military has neither confirmed nor denied the strikes. The attacks come as Israel has declared a complete siege of Gaza, cutting off essential supplies to its 2.3 million residents. The United Nations has stated that the siege is in violation of international law and has called for the establishment of a humanitarian corridor. Egypt, the first Arab country to make peace with Israel, has urged Israel to provide safe passage for civilians instead of encouraging them to flee towards Sinai.
