In a historic moment, Israel's Foreign Minister Eli Cohen visited Bahrain to officially inaugurate Israel's embassy in the capital city of Manama. The ceremony took place as Cohen placed a mezuzah, a sacred scroll containing verses from the Torah, on the doorpost of the embassy's entrance. Cohen was accompanied by Bahrain's Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, symbolizing the growing diplomatic ties between the two countries. Expressing his excitement, Cohen stated, "It is a great privilege to set a mezuzah and inaugurate the permanent embassy in Manama together with the Bahraini Foreign Minister. This moment signifies the warming relations between our nations, and I am committed to expanding this milestone by establishing mezuzahs in more Israeli embassies worldwide."

During his visit, Cohen also had the opportunity to meet with the Crown Prince of Bahrain, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. The two leaders engaged in discussions about the challenges faced by their respective regions, their shared commitment to combat terrorism, and the significance of fostering a free trade agreement. They also emphasized the importance of collaborative initiatives to bring together the youth of Israel and Bahrain, fostering cultural exchange and dialogue.

Cohen expressed his gratitude to Prince Salman for his active role in initiating the Abraham Accords, a landmark peace agreement that has not only transformed the Middle East but also contributed to the stability and prosperity of the region's inhabitants. He added, "We eagerly anticipate expanding the circle of peace and normalization to other countries in the region, continuing to foster stability and cooperation." In another notable moment, Minister Cohen visited the US Navy's Fifth Fleet base in Bahrain and engaged in discussions with Vice Admiral Brad Cooper and the United States Ambassador to Bahrain.

This meeting highlighted the vital role of the United States in promoting peace and stability in the region and showcased the strong alliance between Israel, Bahrain, and the United States. The inauguration of the embassy in Bahrain is a significant step forward in the diplomatic relations between Israel and Bahrain, marking a new era of cooperation, peace, and prosperity. As more countries in the region embrace this spirit of engagement, the Middle East is poised to witness a transformative shift towards peace and stability.
