The Iranian Navy has bolstered its arsenal with the addition of long-range cruise missiles and reconnaissance helicopters, state media reported on Sunday. The newly acquired Talaeiyeh cruise missile boasts an impressive range of over 1,000 km and is equipped with advanced technology that allows it to change targets mid-mission, according to Iran's navy chief, Shahram Irani. In addition to the cruise missiles, the navy has also integrated reconnaissance helicopters, drones, and other marine cruise missiles into its fleet.

All of this equipment has been developed and produced by Iran's military industry, showcasing the country's growing capabilities in the realm of military technology. While some Western military analysts may question Iran's claims, Iranian-made missiles and drones are undeniably significant components of the country's military hardware. The delivery of these advanced weapons comes amid escalating tensions in the region, with the U.S. accusing Iran of launching a drone attack on a chemical tanker in the Indian Ocean.

This incident has raised concerns about the safety of shipping lanes, particularly in the aftermath of recent conflicts such as Israel's actions in Gaza. Despite the accusations, Iran has denied any involvement in planning attacks by Yemen's Tehran-aligned Houthi movement on commercial vessels in the Red Sea. The situation remains fluid, with the addition of these advanced weapons to Iran's naval capabilities adding a new layer of complexity to regional dynamics.
