The Indian Army is set to host the highly anticipated two-day conference of Army chiefs of the Indo-Pacific nations, aiming to develop a collective strategy to maintain peace, prosperity, and stability in the region amidst growing concerns about China's military activities. The conference, known as the Indo-Pacific Armies Chiefs' Conference (IPACC), will be held in New Delhi from September 25 to 27, with the United States Army co-hosting the event. Nepal Army chief, Gen. Prabhuram Sharma, left for New Delhi on Sunday to participate in the IPACC conference. After the event comes to a close, Gen. Sharma is scheduled to return to Kathmandu on September 28. The conference will focus on the role of military diplomacy in handling various crises and finding ways to boost collaboration among armed forces in the Indo-Pacific region. Moreover, the key objective is to develop a common strategy to counter China's increasing military influence in the area, which has raised global concerns.
