The highly anticipated visit of Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman to Pakistan has been postponed due to unspecified reasons, as reported by The Nation. Initially, it was planned for the Crown Prince to visit Pakistan on September 10 before attending the G20 Summit in India. However, the visit to India and the G20 summit have also been canceled.
After consultations between the Saudi and Pakistani governments, it was mutually decided to postpone the visit to Pakistan. Pakistan's Foreign Office Spokesperson, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, confirmed the rescheduling and stated that the new dates will be finalized through mutual agreement. Pakistan had been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the Saudi Crown Prince, as his last visit to the country took place in February 2019, hosted by former Prime Minister Imran Khan.
The visit had strengthened bilateral ties between the two nations. The reasons behind the delay remain undisclosed, but it is believed that the visit will likely occur at a more convenient time for both parties. The Saudi Crown Prince's visit holds significance for Pakistan and is expected to further strengthen the relationship between the two countries in various fields.
