Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah has condemned the United States for taking action in the Red Sea, stating that it has turned the area into a conflict zone. Nasrallah claimed the U.S. and United Kingdom air strikes against Houthi rebels in Yemen are threatening the security of maritime navigation for all ships. He said that U.S. actions would harm the safety of all ships, regardless of their destination or connection to the conflict.

Nasrallah warned that the sea has become a battleground filled with fighting, missiles, drones, and warships, due to the ongoing tensions in the region. He stated that U.S. efforts are misguided and will not solve the root of the problem, as they only target the symptoms. Nasrallah also expressed support for the Houthi rebels, dismissing the idea that they would stop confronting Israel in the Red Sea. He pledged that the Houthis would continue targeting Israeli ships, as part of the wider “axis of resistance to Israel,” an alliance that includes Hezbollah and Iran.
