Former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, have been summoned by a Pakistan anti-corruption court in connection with the Al-Qadir Trust corruption case. The court has also issued non-bailable arrest warrants for six other individuals involved in the case. The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) filed the case against Khan and seven others, including his wife, alleging corruption related to the Al-Qadir Trust. Judge Muhammad Bashir of Accountability Court No. 1 in Islamabad issued a written order for the appearance of the accused.

Khan, who is already in Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi, has been directed to be produced at the next hearing. Meanwhile, Bushra Bibi has secured interim bail from the courts, but has been informed to appear at the next hearing. The other six accused, including property tycoon Malik Riaz Hussain and his son Ali Riaz, Farhat Shahzadi, a close friend of the spouse of the former prime minister, former special assistants to the premier Mirza Shahzad Akbar and Zulfi Bukhari, and lawyer Ziaul Mustafa Nasim, are currently at large and non-bailable arrest warrants have been issued against them.

The next hearing, as per a notification issued by the law ministry on November 14, will be conducted at Adiala jail. The charges against Khan and Bibi state that they obtained billions of rupees and land worth dozens of acres from Bahria Town Ltd of Malik Riaz Hussain for legalizing Rs 50 billion that was returned to the country by the UK. This case has garnered significant attention in Pakistan, as it involves high-profile political figures and allegations of corruption. As the court proceedings continue, people are eagerly waiting to see how the case unfolds and what impact it may have on the political landscape of the country.
