In a shocking development, former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan has been found guilty of inciting attacks on military installations, including the Lahore Corps Commander House. The government prosecutor revealed this information to an anti-terrorism court in Lahore on Friday. However, Khan's pre-arrest bail in five terrorism cases has been extended till August 8.

According to a special prosecutor, a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) of the Punjab police has completed its probe into the May 9 attacks on military and state buildings and has found Khan guilty of abetment and other terrorism charges. The prosecutor stated that Khan had led a campaign and incited party workers against the Army, which eventually led to the attacks on the military installations. Imran Khan appeared before the court under tight security. Prosecutor Farhad Ali Shah argued that Khan's arrest is necessary for the collection of evidence.

The court, presided over by ATC Judge Abher Gul Khan, extended Khan's pre-arrest bail and directed the prosecutor to provide more arguments in the next hearing. After Khan's arrest by para-military Rangers, unrest broke out in Pakistan on May 9, with dozens of military and state buildings being torched and vandalized, including the Army headquarters in Rawalpindi and ISI building in Faisalabad. Over 10,000 workers of Khan's party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), were arrested, and more than 100 are being tried under the Army Act.

Imran Khan vehemently denied masterminding or inciting the attacks, claiming that it was a well-planned conspiracy to oust his party from the upcoming elections. It is worth noting that the military establishment managed to carve out two political parties - the Istekham-i-Pakistan Party and PTI Parliamentarians - as many of Khan's party leaders joined these new factions. This development has sent shockwaves across the nation and raises serious questions about Khan's involvement in the attacks. As the case continues to unfold, the nation waits anxiously for the court's decision on Khan's arrest and the collection of further evidence.
