EU foreign affairs chief Josep Borrell and Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry have emphasized the urgency of implementing a two-state solution between Israel and Palestine. Borrell stated that Israel cannot unilaterally block the creation of a Palestinian state, emphasizing the need to respect the self-determination rights of the Palestinian people. He also proposed a roadmap involving an international conference to address the conflict.
Shoukry echoed the need for a two-state solution, warning that the displacement of Gaza's population is imminent if humanitarian assistance is not allowed in. The international community has expressed support for resolving the conflict and preventing further displacement and loss of life in Gaza.
