After a harrowing ordeal lasting 14 hours, all eight individuals, including six children and two adults, have been successfully rescued from a cable car stranded over a valley in northwest Pakistan. The rescue operation involved the efforts of military personnel, rescue departments, district administration, and local residents.

The ordeal began when one of the gondola's cables snapped while the children and teachers were on their way to school. The rescue efforts involved helicopters, zip lines, and ground-based operations.

However, due to nightfall and strong winds, helicopter rescues had to be discontinued temporarily. Despite the challenging circumstances, all individuals trapped in the cable car were finally rescued.

Footage of the rescue showed incredible moments, such as a child jumping from the cable car while holding onto a rope hanging from a helicopter. The incident has prompted Pakistan's caretaker Prime Minister to order the immediate closure of dilapidated and non-compliant chairlifts.

This incident highlights the risks associated with the lack of regular maintenance in areas where cable cars are the primary mode of travel for children living in remote and mountainous regions.

Authorities plan to inspect all chairlifts in mountainous areas to ensure safety. This rescue effort has captured the attention of the nation, with people anxiously following updates and praying for the safety of those stranded in the cable car.
