The cause of the crash is still unknown, but some reports suggest that the bus, powered by methane gas, fell onto power lines and caught fire. Rescue workers are still at the scene, and Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi warned that the death toll could rise. At least 18 people were injured, with five in serious condition.
