China and Russia Unite to Tackle Israeli-Palestinian Conflict: Push for Two-State Solution Grows Stronger

China and Russia are joining forces to address the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict and work towards a two-state solution, according to Zhai Jun, China's special envoy to the Middle East. Following a meeting with Mikhail Bogdanov, Russia's special representative for the Middle East and Africa, Zhai stated that the current situation stems from the Palestinian people's lack of rightful national rights.

China and Russia share a common stance on the Palestinian issue and are committed to promoting dialogue, implementing the two-state solution, and achieving a comprehensive and enduring resolution. China, which considers the United States to be overly pro-Israel, has called for an immediate ceasefire to protect civilians as Israel continues its bombardment of Gaza. China aims to act as a mediator and increase its influence in the region as the US shifts its global focus elsewhere.

Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly expressed appreciation for China's just position on the Palestinian question and hopes for a greater Chinese role in resolving the crisis. President Joe Biden's visit to Israel suggests increased US involvement in the conflict, thereby drawing the US back into the region's dynamics. Zhai intends to visit other Middle Eastern countries to further coordinate efforts for peace and stability in the region.
