President Trump calls Iran a "Rogue regime" and soon in a few hours, Iran and the world would know what Trump plans to do with the 2015 nuclear deal with Iran. In 2015, Iran agreed a long-term deal on its nuclear programme with the P5+1 group of world powers - the US, UK, France, China, Russia and Germany. (bbc.com)

The so-called Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) saw Iran agree to limit the size of its stockpile of enriched uranium - which is used to make reactor fuel, but also nuclear weapons - for 15 years and the number of centrifuges installed to enrich uranium for 10 years. (bbc.com)

Iran also agreed to modify a heavy water facility so it could not produce plutonium suitable for a bomb. (bbc.com)

Inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the global nuclear watchdog, continuously monitor Iran's declared nuclear sites and also verify that no fissile material is moved covertly to a secret location to build a bomb. (bbc.com)
