Militant threaten school principal in Pulwama district in Kashmir

Ahead of Republic day celebrations in Kashmir, a video in which militants threaten a school principal to stop girls participating in the Republic Day celebrations has surfaced.

In the video accessed by Democracy News Live, militants threaten principal of the government higher secondary school Pulwama to apologise publically and appeal girl students of his school not to participate in the upcoming Republic Day celebrations.

Principal Ghulam Mohi-ud-din in the video can be seen warned on gun point by militants to apologise for asking girl students to participate in upcoming Republic day celebrations scheduled to be held in Pulwama district.
The militants in the video also ask the principal to convey one female teacher of his school teaching dancing to students to not to participate and stop teaching dancing to girls.
The principal cited official orders by the police that the girls should participate at the event to the militants.
Militants in the video claim that they have their informers within police department who will inform them about all those people likely to participate in the Republic Day celebrations.
