Innovative affordable solutions by students during science exhibition 2018

Science exhibitions provide students the platform to think beyond textbook learning and learn real life skills

In a creative display of exhibits to help improve and save our environment, students from various schools in Delhi came together with their models, at Evergreen Senior Secondary School, Vasundhra.

Around 103 schools participated in this science exhibition showcasing models on water management to rainwater harvesting to affordable disaster management vehicles. Students displayed 163 sustainability models around the theme of innovation and sustainability.

"To produce scientists of tomorrow, it becomes very very important that we have exhibitions like these", said Mrs Priyanka Gulati, Principal, Evergreen Senior Secondary School, New Delhi.

Every year Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) organizes science exhibitions around science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) to promote beyond classroom learning and encourage interest in science and mathematics.

"New innovative ideas come across because of these exhibitions and they help us develop our skills", said Sudhanshu, student, BGS International Public School, Dwarka, sector 5.
