  • NEW DELHI: Celebrity endorsements may be commonplace, but three-year-old yoga and wellness startup Sarva has managed to stage a coup of sorts by bringing on board global entertainment superstar Jennifer Lopez and her fiancé, baseball legend Alex Rodriguez, as investors.
  • Founded by Sarvesh Shashi, 27, a former aspiring cricketer, the wellness startup has also raised money from Bill Roedy, former chairman and chief executive of MTV Networks International, Mark Mastrov, founder of 24 Hour Fitness Worldwide, David Giampaolo, CEO of Pi Capital, and Zumba Fitness, the largest branded fitness programme in the world.
  • In India, Sarva competes with the likes of Curefit, the health and fitness venture cofounded by Myntra founder Muksh Bansal and former Flipkart senior executive Ankit Nagori.
