  • In 2013, the government announced a master plan for artificial recharge of ground water, aiming to construct 1,110 million artificial recharge structures at an estimated cost of Rs 79,178 crore, but the plan is yet to be implemented.

  • Since its launch in 2017, SmarterHomes claims to have sold 16,000 water meters across Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Pune, and to have helped 23,500 residents prevent wastage of water.
