  • Top breweries including Anheuser-Busch InBev, United Breweries and craft beer makers White Rhino and Simba Beer are supplying substantial amounts of spent grain as cattle feed.
  • Drinkers contribute to gau raksha in Punjab, Chandigarh, Rajasthan and recently UP through a cess on beer and Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL).
  • We are heavily dependent on agriculture for our industry,” said Prabhtej Singh Bhatia, founder of startup craft beer brand Simba Beer, which sells about 5,000 kg of spent grain a day as cattle feed to large dairies and donates to local farmers near its brewery in Durg in Chhattisgarh.
