[Funding alert] OxfordCaps raises $8M in Series A funding, led by Times Internet, Kalaari Capital, 500 Startups

Student accommodation platform OxfordCaps has raised $8 million Series A funding led by Times Internet, Kalaari Capital and 500 Startups. The fund raised will be used for the product expansion across 10 cities in India and Singapore and to also standardise its product.

  • Existing investors Kalaari Capital and Silicon Valley-based early-stage fund 500 Startups also participated.
  • The OxfordCaps team intends to use the funding to expand to 10 cities and also standardise its product.
  • For budget accommodation, it charges anywhere between Rs 8,000 and Rs 10,000 per bed per month, depending on the area, and can go up to Rs 10,000 to Rs 25,000.
