  • Chinese premium smartphone maker OnePlus ’ revenue and profit in India grew over three-fold in 2017-18, during which period it had the second-largest market share in the Rs 30,000-plus segment in the last two quarters.
  • As per regulatory disclosures to the registrar of companies (RoC), OnePlus’ India revenue rose to Rs 150 crore in FY18 from Rs 37.9 crore in 2016-17.
  • In contrast, Apple India’s FY18 sales stood at Rs 13,097 crore, driven by its iPhones and Mac computers while Samsung India’s smartphone sales touched Rs 37,349 crore, which included models across segments.
  • Brands focused on the value to mid-level price segment too had higher sales in India last fiscal, such as Xiaomi (Rs 22,947 crore), Oppo Mobiles (Rs 11,994 crore) and Vivo Mobile (Rs 11,179 crore).
