Three wushu players from Arunachal Pradesh in India have been unable to travel to Hangzhou, China for the Asian Games due to visa issues. The players, Nyeman Wangsu, Onilu Tega, and Mepung Lamgu, did receive their accreditation cards, which act as entry visas, from the Hangzhou Asian Games Organising Committee (HAGOC). However, they were unable to download their travel documents on Wednesday, resulting in their inability to board the flight.

This is the second instance in two months that the three players have been unable to visit China for a competition. In July, the players were not able to compete at the World University Games in Chengdu due to stapled visas, which signify that China does not recognize India's sovereignty over Arunachal Pradesh. India has rejected China’s claim that the state is disputed territory. The players' inability to travel for the Asian Games has been brought to the attention of the HAGOC, the Olympic Council of Asia, and various sports associations. The players are still hoping to participate in the games, but their participation remains uncertain.
