UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak: How his Hindu faith influences his leadership and guides him in every decision

UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, Britain's first Indian-origin PM, spoke about the influence of his Hindu faith on his leadership during a visit to the 'Ram Katha' event conducted by spiritual leader Morari Bapu at Jesus College, University of Cambridge.

Sunak stated that his faith guides him in every aspect of his life and provides him with the courage, strength, and resilience to make difficult decisions as the Prime Minister of the country. He shared a special moment when he lit Diwali diyas outside No. 11 Downing Street, reflecting on the significance of Hindu symbols such as Lord Hanuman and Lord Ganesha in his daily life.

Sunak expressed gratitude towards the previous generations who worked hard for education and opportunities, emphasizing the importance of giving back to society. He concluded his address with the words 'Jai Siya Ram' and engaged in an aarti as Morari Bapu invoked the blessings of Lord Hanuman.

Sunak's attendance at the Ram Katha event coincided with India's Independence Day, and he commended the spiritual leader's teachings, stating that they are more relevant now than ever.

The Prime Minister also shared his admiration for Hindu scriptures like the Ramayana, Bhagavad Gita, and Hanuman Chalisa, which inspire him to face life's challenges with courage, govern with humility, and work selflessly.
