Tragedy Strikes as Small Aircraft Crashes in Malaysia, Leaving 10 Dead: Witnesses Capture Harrowing Scene

A tragic incident occurred on Thursday in Malaysia's central Selangor state, when a small aircraft lost control and crashed on a highway, resulting in the deaths of all eight people on board and two individuals on the ground.

According to Selangor police chief Hussein Omar Khan, the six passengers and two crew members on the private chartered plane perished in the crash, along with the drivers of a motorcycle and a car that were hit by the plane upon impact. Transport Minister Anthony Loke revealed that the plane had departed from the northern resort island of Langkawi and had obtained clearance to land at Subang airport.

However, just moments before reaching its destination, the aircraft deviated from its flight path and plunged to the ground in Shah Alam district. Witnesses reported that the airplane exploded upon impact, with thick black smoke billowing into the air. Chilling videos circulating on social media captured the harrowing scene.

Nur Alia Nordin, one of the witnesses, described the moment she was jolted by a deafening noise and saw the aftermath of the crash. "I heard a loud explosion and as soon as I reached the site, I saw a person in flames on the ground," she told the national Bernama news agency.

"I saw a motorcycle and a plane on fire." During a press conference, Minister Loke informed the public that the bodies of the victims were taken to a hospital for identification. He also stated that authorities were actively searching the area and attempting to locate the plane's black box in order to determine the cause of the accident.

Reports from local media revealed that one of the passengers was an assemblyman from central Pahang state, adding to the gravity of the tragedy. This devastating incident serves as a reminder of the inherent risks associated with air travel and the importance of thorough investigations into any accidents.
