Security forces eliminate 7 terrorists and gain local support in successful Khyber Pakhtunkhwa operation

In a successful operation by the security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Chitral district, at least seven terrorists were killed, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). The gun battle with the security personnel also left six terrorists gravely injured. Following the heavy exchange of fire, the location is now being sanitized to eliminate any remaining terrorists.

The deteriorating law and order situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has led to a surge in crime rates in the region. This recent operation comes after the Chitral incident on the Pakistan-Afghan border, where four Pakistan Army personnel lost their lives, and 12 terrorists were slain. The ISPR reports that a large group of terrorists, armed with advanced weapons, attacked two military checkpoints.

Intelligence had indicated terrorist movements in Afghanistan's Nuristan and Kunar provinces, leading to the swift response from the security forces, resulting in a clash that ultimately led to the elimination of the terrorists.
