In a successful operation by the security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Chitral district, at least seven terrorists were killed, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). The gun battle with the security personnel also left six terrorists gravely injured. Following the heavy exchange of fire, the location is now being sanitized to eliminate any remaining terrorists.

The deteriorating law and order situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has led to a surge in crime rates in the region.
